The client’s Technical Application Specialists provide and maintain the medical equipment, answer technical and clinical application questions, and provide training to their customers in the use of the equipment and technologies. Key performance indicators for both the client and their customers: minimize operational disruptions at the hospitals and labs; reduce call backs to the customer sites for re-training on how to use and maintain the medical instruments.
The client partnered with FKA to design and develop a Trainer Excellence Program for all Technical Application Specialists and their Managers throughout North America. Customer re-training and call backs were reduced and operational disruptions were minimized which in turn improved clinical outcomes and patient experience.

The client provides leading edge biopharmaceutical products worldwide. The learning and development organization provides learning assets to support its sales and marketing efforts in all the countries where it conducts business. The learning assets must be localized to the language, a regulatory requirement of each region. The client wanted to implement a continuous improvement process review of the instructional design of its global learning assets.
The client partnered with FKA to establish instructional design standards and a process to review learning assets against those standards. Unique standards were developed for facilitated versus self-directed delivery modalities. FKA developed a set of tools to ensure a consistent review and assessment of the instructional design of each asset. The tool scored the overall design and flagged specific areas that could be improved. To date, FKA has reviewed and provided an instructional design quality assessment report for over 100 learning assets.

The client plays a key role in North America’s advanced manufacturing supply chain, working with top automotive, energy, packaging, and construction brands to develop lighter, stronger and more sustainable products from cans to cars.
Plant personnel are responsible for the design and delivery of on-the-job training (OJT), and the maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOP’s) They are considered subject matter experts in health and safety, maintenance and shut down procedures, shipping & receiving, and numerous technical areas such as steam-fitter, pipe-fitter, and millwright competencies. There was no formal or structured process to assist these individuals be effective with their OJT responsibilities. A second requirement was for office personnel, including buyers, sales representatives, human resource professionals, and team leaders, to facilitate both formal and informal meetings and make more effective presentations to senior managers and key customers.
The client partnered with FKA to custom design specific programs to meet each of their requirements. An On-the Job Training program provided client OJT trainers with delivery skills, learning packages, and evaluation tools. Critical functions that had traditionally taken up to six months have now been reduced to six weeks and are achieving a higher level of consistency in both knowledge and skills among learners. FKA’s Facilitation Skills: Running Effective Meetings and Presentation Skills are now part of the client’s professional development curriculum, delivered by FKA certified instructors on a monthly basis. Meetings have become more efficient, with clearer purpose and desired outcomes and presentations are more focused and engaging.
